Dolce was founded in 1989 by the three partners of Far Niente as they started pursuing the goal of creating world-class late-harvest wine in the Napa Valley. Dolce devotes itself exclusively to the production of a single late-harvest wine blended from botrytised Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2015 Dolce offers lifted and youthful aromas of orange zest, vanilla bean and butterscotch with subtle notes of minerality and oak-derived spices. Dolce’s signature texture is lively and enduring on the palate leading to a mouthwatering finish. Flavors of orange, pear and dried apricot mingle together with rich caramel notes and hints of minerals that make this vintage a delicious expression of the season’s exceptional ripeness.
Although a great accompaniment to almond cakes or apricot tarts. Pair Dolce with foie gras, pâté, charcuterie, sweet Italian sausage, or New England clam chowder. With cheese, find the strongest blue at the market.
