It’s usually better to unify rather than divide. Wedge Issue is a series of double IPA’s where we take two hops that divide opinion around the brewery and put them together in equal amounts to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts. For Wedge Issue Motueka l Waimea, we added significant amounts of Motueka and Waimea hops as both pellets and a custom distillate to a grain bill consisting of pilsner, wheat, and oats fermented with New England yeast. Look for the meeting of Motueka’s papaya and lime profile to be defined by Waimea’s pulpy orange and cedar notes in a plush pale. Drink Wedge Issue and believe in a day when arguments end in delight.
