Hakkaisan - Kongoshin Junmai Daiginjo
Taste: Watery malt, malt, hazelnut, banana, and chestnut, in that order.
Finish: Cedar, malt, and chestnut.
Score: 95/100.
As the sake warmed up on the bar, the chestnut, cedar, and hazelnut flavors became more apparent. The last sip of it was a heavenly mixture of cedar, chestnut, and malt. It ended with a nice, long taste of chestnut and malt. Near the end of this there was also a very small hint of rice. The rice must have been polished very well, and the sake filtered very finely, because there were no earthy flavors at any other time in the sake, besides maybe a hint in the first sip.
