A late-release wine, the 2016 Irpinia Campi Taurasini Cretarossa does not reveal its age. In fact, the wine is layered with primary fruit that is well maintained, with blackcurrant and plum. There are subtle hints of campfire ash and black licorice. This is a ready-to-drink red, with chalky tannins and mid-weight intensity. It aged in French oak for three years.
