Les Charmes Dompierre is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Merlot (15%) , grown on a plot of gravel and a clay-limestone plot. After the manual harvest, the grapes are de-stemmed and then sorted. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts. The cap of marc is immersed and the vatting lasts 5 weeks. The aging lasts 12 months in wooden vats made of fine-grained French oak.
This entry-level cuvée is the most evident expression of Michel Aroldi's distinctive wines. Les Charmes stands out for its fruitiness, freshness, finesse, and drinkability.
