The Mingot family owns two wineries in Libournais. Château Maréchaux in the AOP Bordeaux and, since 2013, the only two-hectare Château la Pensée in the AOP Lalande de Pomerol. The latter is given 20% new barriques for aging, which give the wine from the 40-year-old Merlot vines structure, nobility and flavor.
The top vintage 2020 resulted in a soft and charming wine with perfectly ripened tannins, which is pleasantly smooth even in its youth. Juicy dark fruits and a hint of liquorice can be found in the long-lasting finale. A remarkable right bank Bordeaux at a very fair price.
