This light-hearted wine comes from a blend of the Gaillac native Duras grape with Syrah. Fun Fact: Gaillac is the second oldest wine growing region in France (after Narbonne). The area, tucked in Southwestern France, has more sunshine than Bordeaux, a cool maritime climate, and soil composed primarily of gravel, otherwise known as “les graviers”. This Chateau Lastours rosé has a raspberry fruitiness, fresh with crisp acidity, and a light touch of tannin. Superb! Excellent on its own or with crudité, white meat dishes, or a cold meal on a hot summer’s day.
