A blend from several steep parcels with east and south east exposure (Ardoix, Chavanay, Saint-Pierre-de-Boeuf). From 20 year-old vines planted in decomposed granite and quartz soil. Fermentation with eighty percent whole clusters in open-top wood and stainless steel tanks. Aged fifteen months in two- to four-year-old barrels.

Finally some black pepper! A relatively rare aroma in northern Rhône Syrah these days. Oregano touches too. Medium-bodied, with good concentration. Made from some bought grapes and some bought wine, with 85% whole bunch and light extraction. From various communes across the northern pole of St-Joseph.
