This plot is located just below Clos de la Roche on the Gevrey side of the village. The name Clos des Ormes come from the elm trees that once grew here. This premier cru has a reputation of heavy soil erosion so winter cover crops and organic matter are crucial to maintain soil.
Black currant, black cherry, wet earth trimmed in subtle wood. Round, medium bodied with great depth and length.
