100% Sangiovese. The wine is aged for 12 months in 5hl tonneaux of new French oak, then 12 months in 25hl French oak, Italian made barrels. The Riserva wine is bottle aged for at least 6 months before it is released.
Deep and intense ruby red. Superb aromatic presence; lush ripe fruit mingles with baking spices, herbs, hay, and cocoa. On the palate, silky tannins and layers of fresh and baked fruits create a tremendous sense of harmony and striking persistence. 2017 is a vintage of heat and intensity.
The great depth of structure and its extreme complexity permit a wide combination with many rich important dishes. Game, roasted meats, grilled beef and complex stews will find a fine compliment as well as aged cheeses and charcuterie.
