Before Jean-Louis Dutraive's father purchased the Domaine de la Grand'Cour and moved to Fleurie, they lived and owned vines in Brouilly. This wine is made from a parcel they kept after the move. Many of the vines are 50-100 years old, and the soil is limestone and clay - unusual for Brouilly - which gives the wine even more depth and brawn. This wine is earthy and savory, with notes of dried leaves and deep earth alongside the typical Beaujolais fruit. A truly unique offering from a truly fabulous producer
