The Mormoraia estate was founded in 1980 by Francesca and Giuseppe Passoni. Nestled in the heart of Tuscany on the San Gimignano hills, Mormoraia stretches out over 90 hectares of land 30 of which are cultivated with vineyards and 10 with olive groves. Utmost respect for the territory and environment in the vineyards is followed up with the latest vinification technology in the winery thus producing wines of impeccable quality. A blend of Sangiovese, Mammolo and Canaiolo grown at 300 meters above sea level in the vineyards of the San Gimignano hills create this beautifully soft Chianti Colli Senesi. The wine is aged in oak casks of varying sizes for approximately four months prior to bottle aging before release.
