The 2008 Chinon Les Picasses is an authentic representative of the vintage as well as of the domain. The 2008 has a coolish, pure and spicy but concentrated nose with a Pinot-like expression of Cab Franc that comes across as pulpy but less juicy. On the palate, this is a textbook Loire Cabernet: sweet, intense and, believe me, perfectly ripe and balanced but still coolish, precise and finessed with delicate but lingering tannins combined with the sweet and salty finish. This is a gorgeous Chinon with a long and now juicy finish that reveals bitter orange flavors. This is a beautiful wine to drink now and over the next 20 years (at least).

Light ruby in color, bright and fresh, featuring aromas and flavors of tomatoes and cherries throughout. Balanced and cool, with a hint of dark minerality on the finish. Incredibly fresh and seamless.
