The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières is a pitch-perfect expression of the vintage with amazing concentration, clarity, and harmony. There's a saturating minerality with a sense of power and grace. Girardin's wines almost miraculously marry subtlety and intensity.
Burghound "A whiff of the exotic is present on the layered aromas of white and white orchard fruit, especially white peach and passion fruit, along with hints of citrus and acacia blossom. There is even better volume and mid-palate concentration to the rich and punchy yet caressing medium-bodied flavors that flash a bit less minerality on the bone-dry and equally complex finale. This is also lovely and really quite classy.."
