Produced from extremely old, pie franco Cencibel (the local, La Mancha name for Tempranillo) vines, this wine is rich and generous, both with its lush blackberry fruit as well as its baking spice and dried coconut nuances from the oak agening. For anyone who is a fan of Ribera del Duero wines, or for that matter someone who generally prefers the richer, riper fruit driven wines of Napa or Columbia Valley, this impressive heavyweight may be just the ticket.
