The De Stefani family have been making wines since 1866, with 4th generation winemaker Alessandro in charge today. The estate was originally located in Refrontolo, between the two famous Prosecco villages Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, befroe Alessandro's father moved it to Fossalta di Piave. The estate consists of 40 hectares planted on the clay soils of an old river plain. The estate is organic (soon to be certified) and vineyard and cellar work is conducted as naturally as possible: use of indigenous yeasts for fermentation, no added sulfur during vinification, no animal products and 100% renewable energy to power the cellar.
The 2020 Redentore Prosecco Rosé is a blend of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Noir produced in the traditional Charmat method. The wine is fermented with native yeasts, has no sulfur added and is vegan. Light pink in color with a fine, persistent mousse and aromas and flavors of fresh pear, raspberries, and white flowers. The palate is soft and plush with an excellent balance of fine bubbles, fresh fruit flavors and refreshing acidity. Perfect as an apéritif though this Prosecco Rosé can also be enjoyed with a plate of fresh fruit and assorted cheese.
