About eight kilometers from the sea in Coelemu, in the Itata Valley, the semillon vineyard that gives life to this La Unión is 100 years old and offers an oxidative and iodized character that's almost reminiscent of manzanilla sherry. On the palate, however, there's no relation at all. It has impressive tannic force, along with white fruits and earthy notes that give it all the character of a white from Itata, especially those that have been fermented with their skins. This is for the cellar—or to open now with raw clams dressed with a few drops of lemon juice.
