Arguably from Puglia's best growing zone, Castel del Monte, due to elevation (300m asl) and limestone rich soils, Nero di Troia doesn't really show up in other parts of Puglia- certainly not as a single varietal bottling.
The Santa Lucia estate has been producing wine for 200yrs, but of course as it is in Italy, the family can trace their land heritage back to 1628. The vineyards are organic certified.
Soft tannin, medium+ body, myrtleberry, blackberry, forest floor.
