Contrary to appearances, Château Malbec is not named after the famous grape variety, but for one of its former owners, Louis Malbec.
80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc ... as rich as its diverse, eclectic Bordeaux terroir. Stunningly complex, it is intensely fruity on the nose, with strong hints of black cherry and blackberry. The Merlot that thrives on the property’s clay soils brings balance and boldness. The Cabernet Sauvignon, planted on gravelly slopes, brings a remarkable tannic structure. Cabernet Franc and Malbec complete the blend, adding freshness and musky hints. This complex, sophisticated red is underpinned by subtle barrel-aging.
