Having spent time in a 15-year-old wooden vat, there's certainly no evident new oak on this gracious Grand Cru. However, there is a delightful silkiness that results on the mid-palate. Its nose is a bit shy now, but the palate is more animated with yellow currants, rhubarb, lemon pith and crushed water crackers. Crisp and alluring, this is tasty now but will become even more charming in time.
