The 2020 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Fichots ler Cru, which is completely de-stemmed, has a pretty, quite pure bouquet with perfumed black cherry and blueberry fruit, more floral than the Ez Connardises. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black cherry and raspberry fruit, fine acidity with a brisk, citric finish. Fine.
Planted in the ‘50s with rich soils that produce wines of power. Slight cherry cola, jubey red fruit. Round and welcoming yet is distinct and remains fresh and taut. Red and black cherries.
